History of the Practice

Waterbury Podiatry Consultants has been a staple of the Waterbury community since 1952 and continues to be since the transition of the practice in 2021 to Dr. Steven Massucci, DPM. Dr. Massucci joined the practice in August of 2021 as a meticulously-trained surgeon and state-of-the-art clinician with then owner, Dr. Marc Bernbach.

Dr. Massucci has close ties to the Waterbury community and its surrounding towns. He grew up in Southington and is part of a large Italian family that immigrated to Waterbury from Southern Italy a century ago. He holds numerous leadership roles in the local healthcare community, serving as the Chairman of the Podiatric section, Department of Surgery at Waterbury Hospital. Dr. Massucci also utilizes some of his professional time seeing local community members as patients of the Waterbury Wound Care Clinic.

The legacy of Waterbury Podiatry Consultants now continues with Drs. Massucci and Kellner. Dr. Kellner started with the practice in March 2023 as he and his wife decided to return to their home state of CT to raise their family. Dr. Massucci and Dr. Kellner were former classmates during their training at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. They have dedicated their careers to providing evidence-based medicine and individualized care for their patients.
